Today is the end—the end of the weekend, the end of my vacation, the end of playing house with Isaac.
Thanks to daylight savings, it’s also the end of feeling rested. I do enjoy the longer days, but it seems like I just adjusted to falling back! Even though that hour is desperately missed and I could benefit from a nap, I’m plan to squeeze in a short run as soon as I blog. Having not blogged in a few days, I want to tie up a few loose ends.
Gallbladder Detox: The Aftermath
Just as I feared, I did not pass any visible gallstones. There are many explanations, but I think I will do the cleanse again in a few months. Just because I didn’t see anything doesn’t mean I feel like the cleanse was a waste. There are certainly mixed opinions on the benefits of “cleansing†and I’m actually on the skeptical side. However, If I hadn’t seen first hand that the cleanse I followed had results (for Isaac), I would have never done it. Several people have been curious about the details of my cleanse regime. I don’t want to put myself in a bad position by giving anybody “how-to†advice for health related issues, especially when it involves weird things like drinking oil. Maybe I didn’t mention this upfront, but I was “prescribed†this cleanse by my Chinese medicine doctor and consulted with him throughout the process. If you are interested in completing a gallbladder cleanse similar to what I did, talk to your regular doctor or holistic health care provider. You can also Google search “gallbladder cleanse†and find protocols very similar to mine.
Weekend: No Longer Cleansing
Even though my cleanse was not that strict, I was still happy when it ended and the mass consumption of lemon water and apple juice ceased. I was also ready to stop monitoring everything that went into my body. The “I’m no longer cleansing†began Friday night with dinner at Café Monte.
Followed by more drinks at one of my favorite Charlotte wine bars, Dolcetto. I had a red blend called Falcor….I picked it because of the name!
I pretended that I would make it to yoga the following morning, but I think we all know that didn’t happen.
There are still a few more things I intended to squeeze into this post, but I’m losing daylight. Until next time!

I choose wine by the name or if the label looks cool all the time.
I didn’t write this in the post, but I also choose wine by the alcohol content. 😉 I want to get my money’s worth.
don’t worry about skipping yoga, there is always the chance to go tomorrow!
I know I shouldn’t feel guilty about missing yoga, it’s just so hard to get back on the wagon when you’ve fallen off.
i feel ya on the spring forward pain. i slept as late as i wanted to this morning and i’ve still felt “off” all day. i am totally looking forward to later hours of daylight though!
The evening daylight has made it worth the pain of losing an hour of much needed sleep.
Nothing better than a good glass of red vino!
Here here! 🙂
This infaomrtion is off the hizool!
